
The EMS 6th Grade honor band performed at ISU yesterday. Good work, Mr. Wyland and band members.




The EMS state qualifiers wrestled on Friday and Saturday. No medals were won, but they competed hard and represented Eureka well. Good season, wrestlers and coaches.



The EMS 8th grade volleyball team defeated Williamsfield today in regional play. They won in 2, 25-6, 25-20.

The EMS 7th grade volleyball team’s season came to end tonight in regional semi-final action against Washington Middle. They finish the season with a record of 11-9. Great job, players and coaches!





The EMS wrestlers competed at the IESA sectional on Saturday. As a team they finished 11th out of 27 teams. They advanced three individuals to the IESA state tournament in Dekalb!

The EMS 7th grade volleyball team took on Williamsfield in regional play this morning. The Hornets came out on top 25-22, 25-6. They will play again Monday at 6 pm.




The EMS band and chorus students put on a show tonight at EHS.











The EMS volleyball teams completed their regular season this week on the road at Olympia and Dee Mack. The 7th grade come up short. The 8th grade won both. The 7th grade begins postseason play tomorrow morning at Germantown Hills. Good luck, Hornets!

Eureka Middle School hosted the wrestling regional today. Seven wrestlers advanced to the sectional. Good job, athletes and coaches.

The EMS scholastic bowl team kicked off the season tonight hosting D50. They won the first match 155-70. They lost the second match 170-165 on the last question. Good job, Hornets.

The EMS dance team complete in Springfield today. Good work, ladies.





EMS celebrated the 7th grade boys basketball state championship today by escorting them with fire trucks past Davenport and EHS. After the escort we celebrated their victory with an assembly where Coach Heider and players spoke. Congratulations, guys. Keep working hard.



State Champions! 29-0. I will have to check with the Eureka Middle School’s SID (Coach Gerdes) but I believe that is the first undefeated boys basketball team in school history. Congrats, gentlemen.
