The 8th grade girls basketball team defeated Dee Mack, 44-8 in quarterfinal regional action tonight in Pontiac.


The EMS 7th grade girls basketball team season came to an end tonight in regional quarterfinal play. They were defeated by Tri Valley. They finished the season with a record of 7-13.


The EMS 7th grade girls basketball team won their first round regional game this morning at EPG, defeating Dee-Mack 21-9. Good job, coaches and players!


The EMS boys basketball teams played Olympia on the final day of the tip off tournament. Both teams came out on top. With the win, the 8th grade improves to 3-0 on the young season and win the tip off tournament.

The EMS girls traveled to Tremont to take on the Turks. The 8th grade wins 37-22. 7th grade wins 27-4.




The EMS girls basketball teams took on Washington Middle this morning. The 7th grade fell short. The 8th grade had a big win over a good Washington team.
The EMS 7th and 8th grade bands performed tonight at Eureka Middle School in front of a packed house. They sounded great. Thank you band members, Mr. Wyland and Mr. Profitt.









The EMS girls basketball teams took on Metamora last night. EMS came up just short in both games. Keep working hard, ladies.

The EMS girls basketball teams lost a couple of close ones on the road at Olympia. Good effort, ladies.


Both teams brought home a trophy with the girls varsity getting 2nd place, falling just short of 1st place by only 4 points! The boys varsity got 4th! Cora Holt defeated the hills, creeks, and mud and shaved off 14 seconds getting a PR on a course where not many people do!!!

The EMS band joined the EHS band for the home football game last night. Both groups sounded great. Thanks to Mr. Profitt and Mr. Wyland for putting it together.





The EMS softball team opened the 2024 softball season today at EMS with a win over St. Mary’s, 14-4. Good game, ladies!

In the least surprising news of the day….
Ethan Otto was named the 3A boys athlete of the day. I guess 4 state champion medals on your resume was enough to convince the voters. Congratulations, Ethan!

What. A. Day! Ethan Otto thought “if you are going to put your uniform on and go to state in 4 events, you might as well win them all.” So that’s what Ethan Otto did. State Champion in the 800, 1600, 4x400 relay, and 4x200 relay. Great job, Ethan!
