Principal's Corner

Welcome to the Principal's Corner!

I am very excited to be taking over as Principal at Davenport Elementary for the 2022-2023 school year. Mrs. Brown has done such a wonderful job and I hope to be able to build on the great things she has done with the students, parents, and staff of Davenport and I wish her well in her new position!

I want to share with you a bit about my educational background. I grew up in Chatsworth, IL and graduated from Prairie Central High School. From there, I went to Illinois State University and received my Bachelors of Science in Biology Education. I began my teaching career in Channahon, IL, teaching two years, and moved to Eureka to teach 8th Grade Science, coach Girls Basketball, and serve as Assistant Principal for 13 years. I spent 14 years as Principal at Central Intermediate School in Washington, and made my way back to District 140 as the EHS Assistant Princpal for the 2021-2022 school year. I am making the transition back to Principal as I take over at Davenport for the 2022-2023 School Year.

I live in Eureka with my wife Nancy and have four children--Erin, Andrew, Matt, and Mia-- and two grandsons--Cohen and Asher. I enjoy spending time with my family and attending the sporting events for my daughter and my grandson. I am very excited and honored for the opportunity to serve the students, staff, families, and the community of Davenport Elementary School!
