Mr. Edwards

grew up in Wheaton, Illinois and attended Wheaton-Warrenville South High School. After graduation, I attended Eastern Illinois University where I met my wife, Brandi. Upon graduation, we settled in Pekin, Illinois where I taught English and Social Studies for twelve years. During this time, I taught every level of English except Speech. I also worked on two Masters degrees. My first degree was in Educational Leadership from St. Xavier University. My second degree was in Education Administration from Illinois State University. During this time, my wife and I had three children: a daughter, Kammie; a daughter, Emmie; and a son, Greysen. We also have two doggy members in our household— a Goldendoodle named Hudson and a Goldendoodle named Lucy. In between kids and degrees, I found time to coach girls’ cross-country and girls’ track; and I continue to love being active by biking and running.

I started my administrative experience by becoming Assistant Principal at Morton High School for five years. My job duties varied, but a significant part of my day was building relationships with students and assigning consequences when policies were broken. I also had the opportunity to work on curriculum development, teacher evaluations, and school safety plans.

My family and I now reside in Eureka, and love being a part of the community! The staff and I aim to help students maintain a primary focus on academics so that they are prepared for life after high school. Please know that if you ever have questions or concerns, I am only a phone call or email away! I'm looking forward to an amazing school year!
