MEMORIAL DAY PARADE INFO...All Band and Color Guard dressed and ready by 9:30 a.m. to rehearse Veterans Salute and the Star Spangled Banner.

2013 Marching Band Information...is now LIVE on this website (use the link on the left to access the links), and is being emailed to all Band Parents and current Band students via Skyward. Let's get 2013 started off on a great note by coming to Summer Band and learning some new things...and having some fun, of course!

Summer Band Dates...June 11, 18, 25, July 11, 16, 18, 23, 25, 30, August 1. All rehearsals are from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the EHS Band Room.

Parents...Please consider what you can do to help out during marching band season. We need help in every area...trailer and equipment, color guard, and concession stand help for home football games. Please contact Susan Argo at seargo@mtco.com for more information.

To the Class of 2013...We will miss you, and we will do our best to uphold the tradition of excellence you have been a part of. Come back and visit, join the EHS Band Alumni Facebook Page, and let us know what you are doing!

Highlights from 2012-13 (and what a great year it was)...

The Twin City Honor Band Concert was fantastic!...we got so many compliments about our performance, and John Mackey enjoyed our performance of "Foundry" very much. What a great job, in a really great performance hall.

Congratulations Band!...on your performance at EPCOT, and on a great trip to Walt Disney World! You represented your communities with pride and class, and it was an exciting and memorable trip for everyone. I hope that you will visit WDW one day again as an adult, and recall the happy memories you made with all of your friends during our trip. Click here to read my Trip Diary and see some cool pictures. And, of course, to our school board and administration for approving and supporting our trip!

Congratulations Band!...on a memorable performance with the Illinois State University Big Red Marching Machine for their "Member for a Day" event! What a great way to salute our veteran and current military heroes. Thanks to Dr. Daniel A. Belongia, ISU Marching Band Director, for the invitation, and the hospitality. CONGRATULATIONS TO AMANDA WRIGHT AND ANNA WILLIAMSON...Drum Majors for 2013-14. They will do a great job! Thanks to everyone who auditioned, you all did very well, and we appreicate your willingness to serve.

THANK YOU, Alumni!!...We were so happy to have you back at Homecoming to play with the band, and even if you didn't play, it was great to see you and be able to do a little catching up. We hope that you enjoyed the new football facilities, and that it encourages you to come back and visit more often. Next time, join us on the field and play!

Parents...thank you all for helping out during this marching season. We can't take a group like this on the road without your assistance and energy, and we really appreciate it!

Congratulations...to Jessi Daugherty, who marched as a member of Pioneer Drum and Bugle Corps' Color Guard, and to Katy Boggs, for marching in the Baritone section of the Cadets 2 Drum and Bugle Corps. Way to represent Eureka High School at the next level!

Recruit, Recruit, Recruit! We always need more band members, so keep talking to your friends about being a part of our great band program. There is a place for everyone in the EHS Band!

The next Music Booster meeting will be Thursday, July 11th, at 7:00 p.m. in the EHS Band Room. Every parent who has a student in the District 140 music program from grades 5 through 12 is welcome and encouraged to attend.
